Spring is in the air (29th August 2020): Is there a spring in your walk, and a spring to your thought? Well Spring is certainly round the corner, and hopefully in our hearts as we approach September.
Our social interactions and events have been dampened but not eliminated by the pandemic. We innovate by going on line. This coming week on 2nd September Fiona McArthur will go live in conversation about a book she is releasing shortly, The Bush Telegraph.
This is a story in our own back yard, the great Australian landscape and I understand that the book brings to life some of the challenges we face in rural and remote Australia. Therefore, I encourage you to join in through the Macquarie Regional Library into this online event.
And then again, if you are looking at something different there is another online event on Wednesday where Joe Bakhmoutski, author of Simplify Cancer shares inspirational advice and roots of a happy life and what he learned from dealing with cancer.
And we encourage you to rejuvenate both your body and your mind. One of the things that help your body reduce inflammation and recalibrate, is to have a predominantly plant-based diet loaded with green foods that trigger an alkaline body.
And put in a bit of exercise, whichever form you choose, its going to be good for you.
And take time to enjoy the many attractions in and around Dubbo. You could enjoy a picnic or just laze under huge leafy trees while your children enjoy the excellent modern playground equipment at Cameron Park in Wellington. Or you may choose to explore the 164 hectares dedicated to the conservation of Australia’s unique and incredibly diverse flora overlooking the majestic Lake Burrendong.
Or if you are inclined to be indoors there are some amazing travelling displays and exhibitions at the Western Plains Cultural Centre.
Or dig into your inclinations, and enjoy the amazing treats within our region. We love it, so will you.
